From flight to first light.
Reserve your dates
Submit an enquiry through the Book Your Hunt page. A deposit secures your dates — we hold them for 7 days while you finalise travel.
Fly into OR Tambo (JNB)
Most international hunters arrive on overnight flights. We coordinate rifle clearance through SAPS at the airport — allow 2 hours.
Get to the reserve
3.5-hour drive (≈350 km) from OR Tambo via Thabazimbi to Steenbokpan. Private transfers and charter flights to the nearby airstrip arranged on request.
Rifles & ammunition
Bring your own rifle (SAPS 520 temporary import permit) or use one of ours. Recommended calibres: .375 H&H or larger for Cape buffalo, .30-06 / .300 for plains game.
Permits & paperwork
We handle all hunting permits, CITES paperwork for trophies and dip-pack-ship logistics with a trusted taxidermist. Bring your passport and proof of firearm ownership.
Bring
Neutral-coloured layered clothing, sturdy hunting boots, a wide-brimmed hat, sunscreen and a soft rifle case. Malaria-free zone — no prophylactics needed.
