For nearly thirty years, American and international hunters have travelled to Marula Game for an authentic South African hunting safari in the heart of the Limpopo Bushveld. Family-run since 1997, our reserve spans 24,700 acres of unspoiled, malaria-free wilderness just twenty kilometres south of the Botswana border — home to Cape buffalo, leopard, greater kudu, Sable, Roan and a rich diversity of African plains game. Every hunt is professionally guided fair chase, led by a licensed Professional Hunter on strict quotas set by our wildlife management team. You arrive as a guest. You leave as family.

Our plains game hunting packages are built for the hunter making a first trip to Africa — and for the seasoned traveller coming back for more. A typical seven-day plains game safari at Marula Game includes gemsbok (oryx), impala, blue wildebeest, warthog and zebra, with discounted trophy fees, full board, and a licensed Professional Hunter at your side from sunrise to the evening fire. With over forty huntable species across the property, no two safaris are the same, and packages can be tailored to the trophies on your wish list.
Cape Buffalo & Dangerous Game Hunting in Limpopo
Marula Game offers Cape buffalo hunting in Limpopo on a managed, sustainable quota. Our flagship ten-day dangerous game safari pairs a Cape buffalo bull with three of Africa's most coveted antelope — Sable, Roan and greater kudu — from the privacy of a sole-occupancy luxury tented camp. Buffalo are hunted on foot, fair chase, with an experienced PH and tracking team who have spent decades reading this ground. Leopard is also available on special permit in season.

Trophy Kudu, Sable & Roan
The Limpopo Bushveld is renowned trophy country, and Marula Game's three decades of game breeding and rewilding show in the quality of animals on the property. Hunters come to us specifically for trophy greater kudu, free-ranging Sable antelope and Roan — species we have stewarded and returned to ground they once roamed. Whether you are chasing a 55-inch kudu bull or a heavy-bossed Sable, our quotas are set to protect the herds for the long term, not to fill a diary.

- All-inclusive daily rates. Luxury lodge accommodation, all meals, a licensed Professional Hunter, tracker, skinner, 4×4 hunting vehicle and airport transfers from Johannesburg (JNB) or Polokwane are included.
- Firearm import made simple. Bring your own rifle — we handle the SAPS temporary import permit and all firearm import/export paperwork on arrival.
- Taxidermy & trophy shipping handled. Field preparation, delivery to the taxidermist, dip-and-pack and CITES documentation are coordinated for you.
- A name you can verify. Owner and outfitter Chris Burger serves on the PHASA Executive Committee and was named WRSA Game Farmer & Game Breeder of the Year.

Booking Terms
- Deposit
- 50% of daily rates due at booking. 50% of dangerous-game trophy fees due at booking. Balance payable 60 days prior to arrival.
- Wounded animals
- Animals wounded and not recovered are charged the full trophy fee. We spare no effort to track and recover every animal.
- Cancellations
- Deposits are non-refundable. Hunts may be rescheduled to a subsequent season at management's discretion, subject to a rescheduling fee.
- Gratuities
- Not included. Recommended: PH $150–$250/day · Tracker & Skinner $50–$100/day · Camp Staff at discretion.
