Prime dates fill first
The cool, dry winter (May–September) is the best hunting and the first to book. Early and shoulder-season weeks (April, October) stay open longer.
Dangerous game needs lead time
Cape buffalo and limited-quota species are best booked 12–18 months ahead; plains game 6–12 months. For a 2027 hunt, now is the right time.

There's no pressure and no hard sell here — but because we host a limited number of exclusive-use parties, the prime weeks genuinely do go first, and most of our hunters book a year or more ahead. When should I book a 2027 safari?
For Cape buffalo and limited-quota species, 12–18 months ahead; for plains game, 6–12 months. The prime May–September dates book first, so late 2026 and early 2027 is the ideal window to lock 2027 dates.
How many hunts do you take each season?
Because every hunt is exclusive-use (your party hunts alone), we take a limited number of parties per season, which is why prime weeks fill early.
How do I hold a date?
A deposit confirms your chosen dates and holds your 2026/27 pricing for the season. Enquire via our booking page and we'll walk you through it.
What if my preferred week is already taken?
We'll offer you the closest available dates, including excellent shoulder-season weeks in April and October, which often come at better value.
Is it malaria-free and family-friendly?
Yes. Marula is in a certified malaria-free part of the Limpopo Valley, roughly 4 hours from Johannesburg, so non-hunting partners and families are welcome.
